Kind of obsessed with my nails right now

Nails right now. I guess you could say they’re my new years nails because of the sparkle. I may be somewhat obsessed with them (I can’t stop looking at them!) They look much better in person, it’s hard to photograph the glitter

Ombre nails. Not the greatest picture but you get the idea

tutorial pleaseee! <3

I’m still shocked I got 60+ notes on these considering they look pretty shitty haha. But I’m going to attempt to explain this the best I can without redoing them/taking pictures…
The colours I used were Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails Xtreme wear in Mint Sorbet and Essie’s Turquoise & Caicos
Paint your nails all one solid colour (in my case it was mint) and let it dry completely. I let mine dry overnight. I tried this once without letting it dry overnight and when I sponged the darker colour on, the mint came off.
Put some of the darker colour (in my case turqouise) on a piece of paper and rip off a small piece of a makep sponge and use tweezers to grab it. Sponge on the darker colour starting at the tip of your nail and almost all the way to the cuticle.
Keep. On. Layering. This can take awhile but you just have to keep going.
To make sure that the tip was solid turquoise, I painted the tips with the turqoise, let it dry until it was slightly tacky, then blended it with the rest with more sponging.
Again, just keep sponging until you get your nails the way you want. This is pretty forgiving and I imagine if you messed it up you can sponge some of the lighter colour back on, but I’ve never tried it.
Use topcoat to finish it off!
I hope this all makes sense. It’s pretty easy and it doesn’t really take that long, especially once you get the hang of it. Just keep sponging!
